Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using CoreClef, you agree to these Terms. If you are using CoreClef on behalf of a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian.
2. The service
CoreClef helps music teachers run their studios — rosters, repertoire, lesson notes, practice tracking, scheduling and a billing calculator. Features may change as the product evolves.
3. Accounts and roles
Access is organised into roles (teacher, parent, student and administrator). You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. A teacher’s studio data is isolated from other studios.
4. Acceptable use
Use CoreClef lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to access data belonging to other studios or families, disrupt the service, or upload harmful content.
5. Intellectual property and content
CoreClef does not host uploaded sheet music, recordings or PDFs. Teaching references are provided only as links to lawful third-party sources (for example, embedded YouTube videos) and text instructions. You must not use CoreClef to share or reproduce copyright-protected material without authorisation. You retain ownership of the notes and information you create; you grant us a limited licence to store and display it to the people you share it with.
6. Payments and subscription
Teacher subscriptions are NZD $7 per month or $50 per year, billed through Stripe. CoreClef does not invoice parents directly — the billing calculator only produces a summary that a teacher may export and use with their own invoicing or tax software. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and access continues to the end of the paid period.
7. Disclaimers and liability
CoreClef is provided “as is”. The billing calculator is a convenience tool and is not tax or financial advice — teachers remain responsible for their own invoicing and tax obligations. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the three (3) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) NZ
8. Termination
You may stop using CoreClef and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
